ABOUT US

For the good
of the community.

Moyle Community First Responders brings local volunteers together to help people at a critical time.

OUR ROLE

Supporting the emergency response.

The group provides early assistance in the Ballycastle area. Volunteers are trained by NIAS and respond when alerted to appropriate emergency calls.

Moyle’s work with NIAS and Dalriada Urgent Care was recognised in a Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council feature in October 2022.

Local knowledge.
Practical skills.
Compassion.

A community response is built on people who care about their neighbours.

HOW IT WORKS

From alert to ambulance arrival.

01

NIAS sends an alert

For certain 999 calls, NIAS can alert nearby responders alongside dispatching an ambulance.

02

Volunteers offer care

Responders use their training to provide early assistance and reassurance.

03

Ambulance crews continue care

Responders support the ambulance response until crews arrive.
